Chairman Atty. Edilberto B. Bravo, brings to the Philippines the same level of focus to master the basics and deliver consistent service as foundation of the business. The company excelled by providing customers a remarkable cleaning experience by transforming the consistent completion of ordinary tasks into extraordinary service.

In 2001, Aramark Corporation, the leading food services and uniform rental company in the United States acquired ServiceMaster Management Services. The Aramark acquisition further strengthened FMI’s core service offering and created an opportunity to cover bigger institutional accounts.



One year after it started operation, FMI was able to gain the trust of major companies by providing janitorial and maintenance services to Solidbank, Asia United Bank, Capitol Development Bank, Ubix Corporation, ITT-Goulds, and Ayala Life FGU. Subsequently, new clients were recorded with the entry of the Manuela-EDSA, University of Asia and the Pacific, Land Bank of the Philippines, Chevron, Nestle, Insular Life, US Embassy and Convergys. To serve the demands of its clients, the company expanded its operations nationwide with the establishment of regional branches in Cebu City in 2002 and Cagayan de Oro City in 2003.

In 2008, following the development in the Subic-Clark-Tarlac growth corridor, FMI was able to forge a facility services contract with Texas Instrument in Clark. As a result of its outstanding performance, FMI was again granted the opportunity to serve Texas Instruments in Baguio starting June 2011. With the opening of its branch in Baguio City, FMI has gained a national coverage from Baguio in the North to Zamboanga in the South.




One of the objectives of ServiceMaster is “To help people develop.” In pursuit of this objective,

Mr. Bravo initiated the move that led to the establishment of Facilities Management Academy

(FMA) on February 17, 2000. The academy is a Technical-Vocational school accredited by TESDA

and supported Facilities Managers, Inc. and other UBIX subsidiaries by training entry level workers

on skills and work values required from service personnel. After training more than 20,000 FMI

personnel, FMA was converted into Facilities Management College (FMC) in 2008 and subsequently

renamed UBIX Institute of Technology (UIT) to show its relationship with its parent company Ubix

Corporation. At present, UIT offers four (4) Baccalaureate Courses.




Acknowledging its expertise of being a service provider, Facilities Managers Inc., was certified ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System December 2003 and was successfully re-certified in 2006 and 2015.

The year 2008 marked a significant period in the company’s achievement, delivering over a half a billion pesos in customer level revenue. The following year, 2009, the company received its 2nd ISO re-certification, proving without doubt that FMI belongs to a class of its own.

In 2004, after expanding in the healthcare market, the company was awarded a 3-year contract for custodial services by Asian Hospital, a first major hospital with tertiary care facilities in the Southern part of Metro Manila. The success was followed by a Janitorial Services Agreement in 2009 with Makati Medical Center, the country’s premier hospital and one of the top medical research and training facilities in Asia.

With its aggressive sales effort, FMI won the bidding for Janitorial Services with University of Perpetual Help Hospital DALTA Medical Center in Las Pinas City in 2014. This partnership with the Perpetual Group was further strengthened with another service contract with University of Perpetual Help Medical Center Hospital in Binan City, Laguna. At present, FMI’s clients that are members of Philippine Hospital Association, Inc. (PHAI) has a total of 1,116 beds which is 17% of the total number of beds in Metro Manila.

To expand its services in the health market and gain foothold in the Linen & Laundry services, FMI acquired in 2015 Laundribest Inc., a major commercial laundry company in the country.




Now, 20 years later, the company continues to live by its Vision to create more value for customers than any other company in the industry. It also abides to its Mission of achieving consistent growth and profitability through innovative products and services delivered by highly motivated personnel in the service industry. New innovations include “Go Green” Program, “Quad Care productivity improvements system and “Ready Space” technology for carpet cleaning.

On June 23, 2016, Dra. Felina A. Bravo was appointed as new Chairman of the Facilities Managers, Inc. – ServiceMaster. Concurrent to this new post, she is the Executive Director of UBIX Institute of Technology and the Head/Officer-in-Charge of Filtek-Safeway Corporation-Terminix. With her appointment, Dra. Bravo focused on improving on the character of the workers through Value Formation and Reorientation Seminars. Likewise, she spends time guiding the sales force of the company in breaking new grounds.
